Nuada Medical press coverage*Nuada Medical Specialist Imaging has won one of the Wellcome Image 2011 Awards for a Diffusion Tensor Tractography Image, showing the neuronal tracts in the brain of an adult male. These tracts correspond to bundles of axons, which are elongated projections that extend from neurons. They form the critical connective "wiring" that transmits chemical and electrical signals between other neurons within the brain, and to those elsewhere in the body for sensory motor functions. Colour is applied representing directional information and distinguishes individual tracts.
